I am the proud Creative Director & Assistant Musical Director of Citizens of the World, the UK’s leading refugee choir, and our performance at Milton Court Barbican Centre was one of the most ambitious & special performances of our 6 years together.
These photos by Sharifah Grant give a sense of the energy in the room, how much our members shone and the generosity of our many guests.
This was our biggest self curated show to date and we arrived with a bang.
A huge thank you to our exceptional team who made it all happen (Conductor & CEO Becky Lucy Dell – Creative Director MEG ELLA – Creative Producer Rachael Head – Pianist & Co-arranger Barny Jones – Sound Ben Leigh-Grosart assisted by Lydia – Storytelling @auriolB – Creative Assistant & Photography Aref Hussaini – Stage Management Claire Shovelton & Maddy Hamilton – Rehearsal Manager Heren Wolf – Team Assistant Debby Karim) and to our guests who helped bring our vision to life!
